The charities we raise money for
Once or twice a year we hold an all-day gaming event at the halls, with free admission but with any and all donations on the day going towards charity. Each night at the club, there is a small self service tea bar with any profits getting added to the pot.At Christmas time, we often hold a free evening session, again with any donations going to charity.
Macmillan Nurses
Spencer Warner, one of G3’s Founders and Static Games staffer was taken from his family and friends in 2012 by cancer. Spence was a titan of the Glasgow gaming scene and seemed to have an encyclopaedic knowledge of whatever little metal men were popular at the time, or even an obscure little heard of manufacturer’s products.[From Macmillan website] We raise money for Macmillan Nurses, who want to reach and improve the lives of everyone living with cancer and to inspire millions of others to do the same. There are 2.5 million people living with cancer in the UK today, and as more people live longer with their cancer, this number is set to grow to 4 million by 2030. We want to make sure we can provide support to everyone who needs it, to help people affected by cancer feel more in control of their lives.
